It is expected that our prints will last a long time. However, different printing methods mean different lifespans. And the garment washing instructions also need to be observed.
In order to get the best from youur printed garment, and the garment is able to be washed, it is recommended to use liquid detergents that are suitable for the garment type, and avoid using bleaches or stain removers.
For T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, shoppers and other textile items:
- It is recommended that the water temperature should not exceed 40°C.
- It is recommended to wash in the washing machine on a gentle cycle.
- Before washing, turn the items inside out to avoid friction against the print.
- For spinning set the mode to the minimum number of revolutions (up to 400).
- Hang sraight without creases or lay flat to dry.
- If drying outside on a washing line, hang inside out.
- Never iron the print. It is recommended to iron only from the reverse side.
The maximum permissible stretch of the print is no more than 5%.
For beaded and embroidered items:
- Handwashing is recommended
- Do not wring or spin the garment
- Do not iron the beaded or embroidered sections
For items with Thermotransfer prints:
- Wash on a gentle cycle
- Do not fast spin
- Do not wash in a fully loaded machine
- Wash inside out
For items with a DTF print:
Our innovative DTF technology ensures our DTF transfers withstand the agitation of a washing machine, helping them to resist fading and cracking and stay vibrant throughout their lifetime. However, we recommend:
- Turn your garment inside out to protect the DTF transfer from friction during the cycle.
- Use cold or cool water (40 deg maximum).
- Use a mild detergent, and avoid detergents with whiteners, chemicals, and bleaches
- Wash on a gentle cycle
- Avoid fabric softeners. A fabric softener has the potential to weaken the adhesion of a DTF transfer.
- Lay flat to dry. The weight of hanging wet fabric can lead to a stretched transfer.
- If using a dryer, do so on a cool setting to avoid shrinking or damaging the transfer.
- Do not dry clean DTF transfer garments as the chemicals used can damage the print.
When ironing a garment with a DTF transfer, turn the garment inside out before applying the iron. Use a low temperature setting to help ensure you’re not using excessive heat that could melt or distort the transfer. Also make sure to avoid direct contact between the iron and the transfer.
