What is the Clean Mark in Russia
Since January, 2021 certain types of product are subject to mandatory labeling of Chestny Znak. The Chestny Znak mark is in the form of a QR-code which when scanned using the special app indicated the origin of the product, and the seller details.
From our assortment, the following items are subject to mandatory labeling: T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, polo shirts, jackets, windbreakers, raincoats, vests, shoes and household goods, such as towels.
Chestny Znak is in accordance with the Russian Federation Government Resolution of December 31, 2019 N 1956 –That requires light industry goods to be marked with a state system of identification in order monitor their circulation in the marketplace.
The digital marking system allows for the tracking of the entire path of an individual product, from production to its withdrawal from circulation. The intention is to protect consumers from low-quality and counterfeit products, and thus provide security in their purchase decisions.
Products that we have purchased either for our distribution or on behalf of our clients which are subject to mandatory markings will be registered in the Chestny Znak system. The mark is then transferred to the client in accordance with the law.
B2B customers and legal entities will receive the Chestny Znak mark on receipt of the finished goods. For legal entities to resell labeled products to their customers, it will be necessary to connect to the EDI system and register with the CRPT (Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies).
Individual customers purchasing a marked item will notice our terminals scan the mark during the checkout process. In the event that the product is purchased for personal use, and the Chestny Znak system is not required on the part of the client, the product is registered as out of circulation, and it will no longer be possible to be sold in the future.
